How did you get involved in graphic design?

I bought a Mac and started lining up letters on it. That was how I
extended into images.

Do you find Japan a creative place to work?

I don't feel that there is much of a relationship between creativity and where you are. I think that no matter where you are you are able to improve your abilities.

How much does Japanese art and style influence your work?

There is quite a bit of influence from my culture. It would even be ok to say that it has formed me completely. There is even an understanding that Japanese culture has had an influence over foreign culture.

There is also an influence of old Japanese arts but the influence from the city that I now live in [Tokyo] and from my home town is big. There are so many discoveries you can make in a city that has so many people.

What are you working on now?

I am working on CD packages and design. After that I plan to start painting.
